Valium

Valium is a benzodiazepine (ben-zoe-dye-AZE-eh-peen). It is believed diazepam’s effects are due to its ability to increase the function of neuro transmitters that are found in the brain. Valium is used for treating anxiety problems, or withdrawal from alcohol symptoms. It is often used in conjunction with other drugs to treat muscular stiffness and spasms, as well as seizures.
